Lockhart Farmstand is a micro flower farm focusing on homegrown and handmade floral arrangements through our Flower Club subscriptions and florals for events and weddings. We grow our flowers from seed on our 8 acre family farm just south of the James River in Moseley, Virginia. 

I'm Jamie, owner and farmer-florist, and I believe in the significance of bringing locally grown flowers to all corners of the community. My husband, Taylor, and I began praying about this business when we first met in 2015. Our dates nights have involved planting seeds and growing dreams ever since. We're quite smitten with of how this little property, that once grew a few peppers and tomatoes, has been cultivated into a full-time flower farm. All the Glory to God. 

In 2021, I left my teaching career of 12 years to go into farming. We flipped our hobby garden and rows of produce into rows of zinnias, sunflowers, dahlias, cosmos and more! In 2023, we hit the farmers market with our harvest and started connecting with our neighbors over local flowers. Taylor still dabbles in growing spicy peppers and a few tomato rows for our kitchen garden. His ultimate dream for Lockhart Farmstand would be flower breedings and expanding our very own seed collection. 

The most exciting part of specializing in growing our own flowers is the artistry that comes with it. I love building bouquets and arranging our flowers to showcase the wild, natural beauty of the garden. My favorite pieces are those that mix textures and colors into a blend that represents exactly what's growing at the time of harvest.
